  • The tool stores the selected UI language in chrome.storage.local and localStorage.
  • The tool reads the current tab URL and HTTP/HTTPS page URLs only to determine which saved volume setting should be applied.
  • On pages where the content script can run, the tool detects audio and video elements in the page, including elements added later and elements inside open Shadow DOM.
  • The tool does not collect browsing history lists, page text content, media files, account information, or personal identifiers.

2. Purpose of Use

  • Saved settings are used to apply the desired audio or video volume to matching pages.
  • Current page URL information is used only for scope matching and display in the extension UI.
  • Detected audio and video elements are used only to apply the selected volume or mute state in the browser.
  • Language settings are used only to display the extension UI in the selected language.
  • Options page data is used only for user-controlled management of saved volume presets.

3. External Transmission and Third Parties

  • Volume settings, language settings, page matching data, and detected media element information are not sent to developer servers.
  • The extension uses fetch only to load its bundled localization files from inside the extension package.
  • User data is not sold, rented, or provided to third parties except where required by law.

4. Storage Location and Retention

  • Volume settings are stored in chrome.storage.sync in the user browser environment.
  • Language settings are stored in chrome.storage.local and localStorage.
  • Data is retained until deleted by the user, cleared from Chrome extension storage, or the extension is uninstalled.

5. User Control

  • Users can add, edit, delete, or clear saved domain settings from the options page.
  • Users can disable or uninstall the extension from Chrome extension management at any time.
